Everton have a number of exciting youngsters coming through the ranks right now but only the very best will ultimately become regulars for Ronald Koeman’s senior side.

Here we take a look at three Everton prospects who have the potential to become first-team starters by 2020.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Big things are expected of striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin after his £1.5million move to Everton from Sheffield United.

He has already made his first-team debut and while injury has stalled his campaign it is only a matter of time before he is featuring regularly on Merseyside.

Harry Charsley

Predominantly a central midfielder but able to play on either wing if required, 20-year-old Harry Charsley is a very exciting player who has been scoring for fun with Everton’s under-23 side this season.

With innate talent and impressive work-rate, Charsley should be a Goodison Park favourite by 2020.

Kieran Dowell - Everton

Another versatile play-maker, 19-year-old Kieran Dowell has impressed for Everton’s second string after coming through the ranks.

He faces stiff competition for a starting spot but if he continues on his current trajectory, and enjoys a productive loan spell or two in the short term, a senior spot is his for the taking.
