Thomas Tuchel has confirmed the latest on Jordan Henderson after England’s dramatic win over Mexico in the World Cup round of 16.
One of the finest nights in English football history saw Tuchel’s side claim a monumental 3-2 victory inside the Estadio Azteca, a stadium which has not been kind to the Three Lions over the years.

The 3-2 win was as dramatic as they come!
Still, there were concerns for the England head coach. Jarrell Quansah, after all, was sent off and will miss the quarter-final against Norway to add to their problems at right-back.
That wasn’t the only issue to have emerged, either. Indeed, Jordan Henderson suffered an injury when celebrating England’s win over Mexico and Tuchel admits it does not look good.
Tuchel says Henderson’s injury looks bad
The England coach was asked about the Brentford midfielder, who did not come off the bench, after the game.
Speaking to reporters after the game (via BBC Sport), Tuchel revealed that Henderson was in hospital after suffering a wrist injury.
He said: “It’s a very special night for us. Mixed feelings because I am exhausted and emotional but also sad because Jordan got injured, he injured his wrist and is at the hospital at the moment.
“It’s a quite serious injury and it doesn’t fit to the evening that Jordan is now not with us. I don’t know the procedure, I just did the press and the doctor told me he is in hospital.”

Henderson’s very inclusion in the squad has proven controversial. Yet, he remains a popular figure in the team and did come on during England’s win over Panama in the group stages.
The 36-year-old has amassed 90 caps for his country and has played in seven major international tournaments since making his debut in 2010.
Tuchel has long defended suggestions he is wrong to consistently pick Henderson over the likes of Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton, such is his faith in the former Liverpool captain.
It remains to be seen if Henderson can feature in England’s quarter-final against Norway. He did not seem likely to start anyway, but whether he is fit enough for at least the bench is currently unclear.
