Leeds United may not need to make any new signings in January, head coach Thomas Christiansen told Leeds Live on Friday.

Leeds have won two and lost eight of their last 10 league and cup fixtures, and for many Whites fans the winter transfer window cannot come soon enough.

However, with 14 new players added to Christiansen’s first team squad this season, the Dane is hoping his current crop can turn things around before then.

Andrea Radrizzani, Owner of Leeds United looks on during the Sky Bet Championship match between Bristol City and Leeds United at Ashton Gate on October 21, 2017 in Bristol, England.

“We are working with Victor [Orta, the Leeds sporting director] and Andrea [Radrizzani, the Leeds owner] to improve in all the senses, not only in players but also in taking all the help that we can take for the players to have all their facilities,” said Christiansen.

“This is our job to make it as good as possible for them. Of course, we have to reply on the pitch, me as responsible for the team and the players also.

“We have time still, a lot of time, many games still to go and I expect that we will turn this situation for better.

“And then we will see if it will be necessary or not to bring somebody but again this is something that we have to discuss.”

Leeds have already been linked with a host of potential new signings, with Holstein Kiel’s Marvin Ducksch and Red Bull Salzburg’s Moanes Dabour the latest, according to the Daily Mail.

Both players are strikers and the top scorers in their respective divisions, the 2. Bundesliga and Austrian Bundesliga.

However, one player who it seems will not be moving to Leeds in January is Lech Poznan winger Kamil Jozwiak, who this week signed a one-year contract extension, which includes an automatic two-year renewal clause.
