Arsenal have confirmed that Rob Holding will be one of three senior players missing for this weekend’s clash against Burnley due to injury.

The Gunners announced on their official website that the 25-year-old defender, as well as Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny, will miss the trip up north on Saturday.

Holding missed last weekend’s fixture against Norwich City due to a knee injury. And the club have now confirmed that the former Bolton star will be rested for a second game-in-a-row.

Arsenal were victorious in their game against the Canaries, and fans will be hoping for a similar outcome this weekend when they face Burnley at Turf Moor.

The Gunners have won just once in the Premier League this season and will be eager to win as many points as possible in their upcoming fixtures. Three points against Burnley could fire Arsenal as high as ninth in the standings.

Indeed, Arsenal failed to beat Burnley at all last season. And supporters on social media are confident that they can get a result against the Clarets with Holding not fit enough to play due to injury.
