Chelsea fans have reacted on Twitter to the rumours they have joined Arsenal in the race for Alexander Isak.
Spanish outlet AS have claimed that Chelsea could hijack Arsenal’s rumoured move for the Real Sociedad player.
Isak is currently on international duty with Sweden at Euro 2020, where the highly-rated attacker has impressed Arsenal supporters.
But with those in North London not in Europe, and Chelsea being European champions, then it makes Arsenal’s life pretty difficult in trying to win such potential transfer battles.
At the age of, 21, Isak would be a smart purchase by either club and his strong performances at Euro 2020 will only put an extra limelight on his talents.
Bringing in a striker isn’t a priority for Mikel Arteta because he does have other bigger problem areas.
But if a fresh face doesn’t arrive this summer then there might just be some concern about the club having to rely on the likes of Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubamameyang next season.
As for those at Stamford Bridge, given that Jorginho was their top-scorer last season then it’s obvious what they need to do.
But some have questioned why they would push for Isak when they have Tammy Abraham on their books.
And if that’s the case then Arsenal might just see Chelsea push themselves away from Isak’s name as the transfer window rumours hot up.
