Some Arsenal fans on social media are over the moon after hearing they could make a move for Real Sociedad forward Alexander Isak.
The Athletic report that Isak is appreciated by the club’s recruitment staff, stating that Edu is a big fan of the Swedish forward.
Arsenal could certainly do with a new striker this summer, Alexandre Lacazette’s contract is running down, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been out of sorts for almost a year at this point.
Isak would certainly fit the bill for Arsenal. He’s coming off the back of an exceptional season in La Liga, netting 17 goals in the Spanish top-flight last term.
At the age of just 21, Isak has a lot of room to grow and improve, and he could be a fantastic signing for Arsenal if they manage to make this move happen.
Of course, whether or not this deal comes to fruition remains to be seen, but if Isak did come to the Emirates, it would certainly be a popular addition.
