Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has hit the ground running with Olympique Marseille after the youngster scored his first goal for the club.
The French youth international joined the Ligue 1 giants earlier in the summer on a season-long loan deal. Guendouzi is likely to remain at Marseille permanently beyond this season.
As per Sky Sports News, the French side have an option to sign the Arsenal youngster full-time next summer. And with Guendouzi netting his first goal for the club this weekend, the signs are looking promising for Marseille.
Indeed, Guendouzi never scored a league goal for Arsenal during his two seasons with the club. However, the 22-year-old prospect has since found his goalscoring touch since leaving out on loan.
The midfielder bagged twice for Hertha Berlin last campaign, with Guendouzi already having his first goal for Marseille after just four Ligue 1 games.
With Arsenal yet to score a Premier League goal this season and the Gunners suffering an embarrassing 5-0 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday, supporters have reached a low point not experienced in some time.

And seeing Guendouzi bag a goal for Marseille, as well as William Saliba impressing for the Ligue 1 outlet, has enraged fans. Both players were sent out on loan by Mikel Arteta.
