Some Arsenal fans on social media have been getting excited about emerging links to Carlos Soler.
A report in ElDesmarque stated that the Gunners are still interested in the midfielder after being linked to him last year, and with Valencia’s ongoing financial issues, they may be able to sign him on a cut-price deal.
You can understand exactly why supporters are keen to see Soler join the club, after all, he is Valencia’s top scorer this season and he’s also chipped in with four assists.
We know that Arsenal are keen to sign a new midfielder this month, and Soler may be exactly what Mikel Arteta needs as he can clearly add a bit more bite in the final third.
However, what may be a little bit worrying is that each of Soler’s five goals this term have been from the penalty spot, but his tally of four assists this term should still excite supporters.
Whether or not a deal comes to fruition remains to be seen, but Soler’s stats certainly suggest that he’s the type of player Arsenal need right now, and with Valencia struggling financially, he’ll certainly be available.
