Some Liverpool fans on social media have been reacting after Roberto Firmino missed training ahead of the Reds’ clash with RB Leipzig.
Firmino missed the weekend’s game against Fulham, but it was thought he’d be back for the Champions League clash on Wednesday.
Unfortunately, it seems as though Firmino could in fact miss that game.
It’s almost beyond belief that Liverpool have had yet another injury blow after a season filled with these sorts of problems.
The medical team at Liverpool must be overworked at this point, and fans online understandably had plenty to say about this update.
Some supporters were gutted to hear Firmino is a doubt, while others were shocked to see that a player who is very rarely sidelined has now picked up an issue.
Fortunately, Firmino may not be missed too badly, Liverpool are 2-0 up from the first-leg, and barring a dramatic turnaround, they should be able to get through to the next round.
We can only hope that the striker is back in action sooner rather than later.
