
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal were once again victors as the north London side claimed all three points against London rivals West Ham in a 2-0 win.
Goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Emile Smith Rowe fired the Gunners up to fourth in the Premier League table, with Manchester United and Tottenham both having games in hand over Arsenal heading into the weekend.
It was one of the best Arsenal displays of the season, with the Gunners taking West Ham to part in what has so far been a brilliant season for the east London side. However, Arsenal fans were amazed by an image that was snapped of Arteta after full-time.
As reported by the Sun pitch invader ran towards Arteta with the Arsenal manager jumping out of the way, but, a photographed snapped of the event gave the impression that the Basque coach was trying to catch the young offender.
Indeed, the image went viral amongst Arsenal supporters, with fans loving that the photo gave off the thought that Arteta was ready to take down a pitch invader after beating West Ham.
These sorts of offences have been on the rise this season at the Emirates Stadium, with similar incidents happening against Newcastle United and Southampton. And whilst it is likely security will be increased, Arsenal fans were stunned by the image of Arteta.
