Speaking on the Indirect Podcast, Christian Pulisic has been addressing his future amid links to a plethora of Premier League clubs.

Liverpool have been linked with a loan move in January, Newcastle believe he could be their next marquee signing, while Arsenal are reportedly also keen as they chase a new winger.

Simply put, Pulisic’s options are open right now, but according to the American, he’s completely focused on playing for Chelsea, although he did admit that things can change quickly in football and that anything can happen.

Pulisic on his future

The American discussed his future amid January transfer speculation.

“I mean, right now I’m absolutely back at Chelsea and focused and ready to finish the season, but you know how things work in football. Things change quickly and anything can happen. At the moment I am just pushing myself in training and working at Chelsea because that’s where I am right now,” Pulisic said.

Doesn’t sound certain

Phrases such as ‘things can change’ and ‘anything can happen’ make it seem as though Pulisic isn’t a player who is 100 per cent convinced about his Chelsea future.

To be fair, it’s not hard to understand why.

He’s fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, starting just three games so far in the league this season, and rumours about his future have been rife.

If the chance to move and play regular football at a club such as Liverpool or Newcastle presents itself to Pulisic, it doesn’t sound as though he’ll take too much convincing to leave west London.

Pulisic may say that he’s focused on Chelsea, but he’s certainly a player to keep an eye on heading into January.
