Thierry Henry delivers Kvaratskhelia verdict amid Tottenham & Newcastle transfer interest

Thierry Henry says reported Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United transfer target Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has the ‘full package’ amid his dominant performances for soon-to-be champions Napoli in Italy, as he told CBS Sports on Paramount+ (14/03/23 at 10:55 pm).

The Premier League legend added that, when you watch Napoli play, ‘they can do everything’ and he highlighted how winger Kvaratskhelia and striker, Victor Osimhen, have played a big part in that.

In the summer, Napoli lost a number of their key stars, including Lorenzo Insigne heading to the MLS, with the unknown Georgian forward Kvaratskhelia replacing him.

If Luciano Spalletti’s side had got Champions League football this season, then it would have been a huge positive and step forward for the club.

But the magic that has been produced in Naples has probably shocked the locals as they are well on course to become Serie A champions for the first time in three decades.

Whether Napoli are counter-attacking or there is a wall of players in front of him, Kvaratskhelia can turn many players inside out, as Henry lauded his performances.

“He can press,” said Henry. “He can hold the ball. He can see a pass. He has the legs to go on the break with Osimhen. This is why they understand each other very well because, once Osimhen opens his legs, it’s not easy to catch up with him. But he is with him the whole time.

“He’s just the full package. Hopefully, it can carry on for him and they can win the league. If they don’t win the league, it will be crazy because of the number of points that they have ahead. Winning the Champions League will be crazy.

“When you watch Napoli play, at the minute, you will enjoy the game because they can do everything really well.”

PREMIER LEAGUE BOUND?

The problem for Napoli is the stupid amount of money in England and how Premier League teams will come knocking for their star talents.

Kvaratskhelia is going to be one of those players, no doubt, with Champions League-chasing Tottenham looking at the player.

But they aren’t the only ones because Saudi-led Newcastle United have also put their name on that list with Gary Lineker recently praising the forward.
