‘They’ve made it impossible’: Reporter says Arsenal have hit a problem with £51m Arteta target

Arsenal have reportedly hit a roadblock in their attempt to sign AFC Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic, with the player’s agent refusing to talk to the Premier League side.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio via Sky Sports Italia, the Serbian attacker’s representative is making life difficult for Arsenal to sign Vlahovic. The Gunners are reportedly willing to meet Fiorentina’s terms for the attacker, but the player’s agent is stalling.

Arsenal are one of many sides interested in signing the 21-year-old striker. With CalcioMercato reporting that Fiorentina will sell the forward for €60m (£51m. However, Vlahovic’s agent is not keen on his client joining the Gunners.

Indeed, Tottenham and Juventus are also said to be keen on signing Vlahovic. With Arsenal’s north London rivals being in the race for the youngster since the summer. Moreover, Antonio Conte could have a chance with the player’s agent not willing to speak to Mikel Arteta’ side.

Di Marzio said: “The team most interested in Vlahovic for January is Arsenal. They have established a positive dialogue with Fiorentina and would be willing meet their asking price for Vlahovic.”

The Italian reporter continued: “However, the problem is that Arsenal can’t reach Vlahovic’s agents. They won’t answer the phone, and Arsenal want to talk to Vlahovic to sell their project. But the agents, they’ve made it impossible for this to happen.”
