Real Madrid and Harry Kane used to be the hottest rumour going some years back. And now the La Liga giants are reportedly re-opening their interest in the Tottenham star.
According to Defensa Central, Los Blancos are keeping tabs on Kane heading into the January transfer window. As we know, Kylian Mbappe is Madrid’s number one target. But in a situation where they miss out on the French superstar, the Spurs attacker would be an alternative.
Kane’s future with Tottenham remains up in the air following a dramatic summer for the England captain. Manchester City were eager to sign the striker. However, bids were rejected by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
Moreover, Kane’s form this season has been abnormally poor. The forward is yet to score in the Premier League this campaign, with his only goals coming from the League Cup and UEFA Europa Conference League.
Indeed, Madrid’s interest in Kane could be legit. After all, the Spanish side were heavily rumoured to be interested in the England superstar following his breakout year with the north London side.
However, since the years have rolled on, a move to Madrid has become more and more unlikely for Kane. With a transfer to City looking the most likely destination for the Three Lions skipper.
