Speaking on the Here We Go Podcast, Fabrizio Romano has shared what he’s heard about reported interest from Napoli in Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney.
The Italian giants have been linked with a move for the Scottish left-back in recent days, but it seems as though there is nothing concrete lined up at the moment.
Indeed, Romano has claimed that Napoli aren’t planning anything in this window for Tierney, but he did note that the Italian outfit will be needing a left-back in the summer, but no decision has been made on that front as of yet.
“There is an Italian club that is interested in an Arsenal player,” Romano’s co-host said.
“According to the rumours, yes, because they say that Tierney could be an opportunity for Napoli, but speaking to people at Napoli they say that they are not planning anything in this window for Tierney,” Romano said.
“Next summer, probably they will look for a left-back, but in this moment they are not looking at Tierney. They will need a left-back next summer, but they still need to know who will be their manager whether it will be Gattuso or not, so they are not planning for next summer at the moment.
“Arsenal are also happy with Tierney, so it will not be easy to go there and sign the player.”

It seems as though Arsenal fans can relax.
Tierney isn’t likely to be joining Napoli this month, but it seems as though there is the possibility of them coming in for him in the summer.
However, as Romano says, Arsenal are happy with how Tierney is getting on, so it will take quite a lot for them to be convinced to let him leave.
This seemingly isn’t one that’s going to happen anytime soon.
