Ian Wright has shared how Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko have become ‘vitally important’ to Arsenal after they took a five-point lead over Manchester City in the Premier League title race.

The Highbury legend stated how Jesus and Zinchenko have been in this situation before during their days at the Etihad and they know what you have to do to get over the line.

Arsenal have now become the hunted, and the team chasing its third Premier League title in a row, is going to be at their throats until they slip up, or they can no longer catch them.

For Pep Guardiola, he is well aware that his team are capable of pushing towards 90+ points, the same can’t be said for those at the Emirates, hence why Wright put Jesus and Zinchenko’s name forward given the club’s current lead, as he told Premier League Productions (14/11/22 at 2:35 pm).

“You mention Zinchenko and Jesus,” said Wright. “They are the ones who are going to be vitally important to us from now because they know what it’s like to be in a lead and be five-points clear.

“Knowing what you have to do in the next game. And the Man City side we have seen down the years, Liverpool also I have to give credit as well, they have done what they needed to do.”

ARSENAL DESERVING OF THEIR LEAD

Not only do Arsenal deserve to be sitting at the top of the Premier League table, but they deserve to be five-points clear.

The performances, even during their defeat to Manchester United, have been near-on faultless from back to front.

From the ice-cool and hardly-beaten William Saliba to the redeemed star Granit Xhaka, the performances from individual players and the team have been outstanding.
