Steve Nicol has claimed there is ‘no chance’ Bayern Munich will sign Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur this summer, as he told ESPN.

The Anfield legend told US TV that Bayern are ‘dreaming’ if they think they can sign Tottenham’s main man, who has two-years left to run on his current contract.

Robert Lewandowski has just headed for the exit door in Germany and joined Spanish giants Barcelona – it’s pretty obvious that he leaves a big void in the final third.

Whilst Bayern have signed Sadio Mane this summer, they still need to make up for the goals they have just lost, with Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn seemingly opening the door to sign Kane.

Given those claims from the legendary goalkeeper, Nicol made it clear that Bayern have to move to ‘dreamsville’ if they think Kane will sign for them.

“Dream is the word,” said Nicol. “Dream on. How much is it going to cost you right now to get Harry Kane from Tottenham? A lot. Bayern aren’t going to pay that, not a chance.

“Are Spurs going to let him go? Not a chance. They are in dreamsville. They are dreaming. No chance. Absolutely zero chance.

“Unfortunately, it’s not up to Harry Kane, so what he thinks, it doesn’t matter. If Bayern turned around and offered £200 million, then Tottenham will let him go. But Bayern aren’t doing that.

“As far as talking now, absolute dreamsville. No chance whatsoever. If Bayern can afford to pay £200 million, then they could have given that money to Haaland.”

HOW MUCH IS KANE WORTH?

Until Spurs win something, then those rumours of Kane and a possible exit are just going to rumble on and on.

There is no heat in the kitchen this summer regarding his future because the north London club are in the Champions League and there is hope Antonio Conte can turn their fortunes around.

But the fact of the matter is that Kane has two-years left to run on his current deal and he could easily run down his contract and head for the exit door.

Tottenham have done a lot of business this summer and backed their manager in the dugout ahead of the new Premier League season.

But if Kane commits his future to the club, then that would be the best piece of business Daniel Levy can do, well, since the last time his star striker signed a new deal.
