Kris Boyd has written in The Scottish Sun that Jose Mourinho will not take charge of Celtic.
Celtic are on the hunt for a permanent successor to Neil Lennon and have been linked with Mourinho.
The Portuguese was sacked by Tottenham Hotspur this week and has reportedly been approached by the Hoops.
Well-known and well-respected journalist Duncan Castles has claimed on The Transfer Window Podcast that Celtic have made an approach to the former Manchester United boss, but he has said that he is not ready to manage a new team yet.
Former Rangers striker Boyd does not think that Mourinho to Celtic will happen, but he believes that the Hoops could attract top-quality managers if they were in the British league.
Boyd wrote in The Scottish Sun: “I had a laugh on Sky Sports the other night when Jose Mourinho was linked with the Celtic job.
“Right now? There’s not a chance that will happen. But put Rangers and Celtic in a British League and trust me, they would attract the top managers and players.”

Jose Mourinho to Celtic?
Mourinho may not have had a great time at Spurs, but the Portuguese remains one of the greatest managers of all time and would be a blockbuster appointment for Celtic.
While it is hard to envisage Mourinho taking charge of a Celtic side who did not win any trophy this season after clinching the league title for the past nine years, stranger things have happened in football.
