Don Hutchison says ‘there is nothing’ Luke Shaw could say that would ‘tempt’ his England teammate Harry Kane to leave Tottenham Hotspur for Manchester United.
With the 2023 transfer window open, and players recently being on international duty, the subject of whether players discuss transfers with one another was brought up.
Luke Shaw cheekily joked that he is trying to get Harry Kane and Declan Rice to Manchester United and how the duo are ‘world-class‘, but Hutchison thinks such a tactic won’t work, as he told ESPN.

England’s most-recent camp has a number of players in it that could be heading for the exit door, Declan Rice is being heavily linked with Arsenal, whilst Harry Maguire’s future is also up in the air, along with Kane’s.
Then there is the relegated Leicester City star James Maddison, who is wanted by both Spurs and Newcastle, either way, there could be a lot of movement with English players this summer.
But, for Hutchison, someone like Shaw can say whatever he likes, but the £27 million left-back (BBC Sport) won’t change Kane’s thoughts, in regard to what he is going to do with his Tottenham future.
“I can say, for 100% for sure, there is nothing that Luke Shaw can say that’s going to tempt Harry Kane to Manchester United,” said Hutchison.
“It’s just chit-chat. It’s just idle chit-chat.”

Will Kane leave Tottenham?
It’s probably a topic that is boring Spurs fans now, but at the end of the day, given the profile of Kane, it’s not going to go away.
Added to that, he has 12 months left to run on his contract, so to shut everyone up, commit your future to the club.
If he doesn’t, then it’s only going to increase talk and leave that dark transfer cloud hovering above Hotspur Way and that’s the thought of Kane heading for the exit door this summer.
