There’s a lot of Arsenal supporters exciting about a potential Premier League title challenge this season.
And after all, why not?
The Gunners are top of the table after nine games and are playing the sort of football which could potentially lead to them challenging Manchester City, the champions.
But Stan Collymore is claiming there is absolutely ‘no way’ that Mikel Arteta’s side will get anywhere near the Sky Blues.
Winning the Premier League title requires a frightening level of consistency, the like of which Liverpool and City have shown in recent years.

And Collymore has told Caught Offside there is simply ‘no chance’ of Arsenal being able to achieve that over a 38-game campaign just yet.
He said: “I understand why some fans are excited to see what Arsenal can do, but there is no way the Gunners are going to go on an emphatic 38-game run similarly to what we saw happen between Liverpool and City last season – no chance.”
Write Arsenal off at your peril.
The North Londoners are comfortably passing every test that gets thrown at them this season – with the exception of Manchester United – and there seems a genuine belief and togetherness within Arteta’s squad.
That goes a hell of a long way and with the Spanish manager knowing what it takes to build a title-winning squad, having worked alongside Pep Guardiola at the Etihad, well only a fool would definitively say that Arsenal can’t go all the way.
