Tim Sherwood has praised Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur on Sky Sports News (4:21pm, February 11, 2023) for his performance against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The former Tottenham manager has said that the 25-year-old Uruguay international midfielder was the best player for Antonio Conte’s side against Leicester.
Spurs suffered a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Leicester on the road.
Bentancur started the match and played for 65 minutes.
The midfielder suffered a bad knee injury, and hopefully he will be fine.
As Sherwood notes, Bentancur was actually one of the better players for Tottenham.
The 25-year-old scored for Tottenham in the first half.
The Uruguayan did try to impose himself in the middle of the park and tried to push the team forward.

Bentancur worked hard for Spurs, who were dire overall and were simply overpowered by Leicester in the end.
It was a hugely disappointing day at the office for Tottenham, who delivered one of their worst performances of the season so far.
Conte’s side were really bad at the back, and they could not create too many chances for star striker Harry Kane.
