Alan Pardew has given his verdict on Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher after watching him in action against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool in the final of the Carabao Cup.

The former Newcastle United and West Ham United manager has warned Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly not to sell Gallagher in the summer transfer window.

So, what has Alan Pardew said about Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher? Let’s take a look.

Alan Pardew praises Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher

Well, Chelsea lost 1-0 to Premier League rivals Liverpool in the final of the Carabao Cup on Sunday evening.

Former Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew was impressed by the display produced by Conor Gallagher and has raved about him.

The talkSPORT pundit has said that Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly should not sell the 24-year-old England international midfielder in the summer transfer window.

As HITC revealed over the weekend, Gallagher wants to stay at Chelsea, but the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners have not offered him a new deal.

Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and West Ham United are interested in the midfielder.

Pardew said on talkSPORT (7:31 pm, February 25, 2024): “One thing I definitely wouldn’t do is sell Gallagher. If they are under restrictions of finance, they would better get rid of a few that look short to me.

“Gallagher doesn’t. He looks to be their best player, and one of the players who, if he came on the market, a lot of clubs would be interested in him. So, that would reflect on the performances he is putting in.”

My View: Chelsea have to keep Conor Gallagher

In my opinion, Chelsea have to keep Conor Gallagher. I think that the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners should hand the England international midfielder a new contract.

Gallagher has come through the Chelsea youth system and has established himself in the first team. He is now a regular in head coach Mauricio Pochettino’s side this season.

Chelsea need to get a deal done with Gallagher and make sure that he is part of the team in the future.

The 24-year-old has scored two goals and given four assists in 24 Premier League matches for Chelsea this season.
