John Egan has hailed the ‘very professional’ attitude of Arsenal-linked duo, Aaron Ramsdale and Sander Berge, in pre-season training, as he told Sky Sports.
Arsenal have seemingly made Ramsdale their number one goalkeeping target, whilst Sheffield United’s midfield powerhouse, Berge, is another name on their wishlist.
But nothing has been done yet, so both players have had to report back to pre-season duty with Sheffield United, who were relegated from the Premier League last season.
Despite that speculation, Egan shared how the players have been like in training.
“There has been speculation with a few of the lads in the summer,” said Egan. “Their attitude has been very professional and it’s very enthusing to see that too.
“You see sometimes players linked with places and they might look a bit moody or whatever. But everyone here, their attitude has been fantastic.
“Their dedication and application in training every day, especially when we have a lot of the younger lads training with us.
“For them to see that, they are a credit to themselves really and I am sure whenever they are chosen to play then they will put in good performances.”

If Arsenal sign these players or not, at least it’s a good sign that they are dealing with players who have a strong attitude to their game.
If they took the route of missing training or handing in transfer requests then it doesn’t look good.
But given both players qualities, and the fact that the Blades are in the Championship, then it’s going to be pretty hard for the club to keep hold of their star man.
