Sheffield United goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale wants to join Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal in the summer transfer window, according to talkSPORT.

TalkSPORT journalist Alex Crook has claimed that Ramsdale is keen on a move to Arsenal this summer.

Burnley and Watford are also interested in the English goalkeeper, but the 23-year-old wants a transfer to the Gunners, according to Crook.

Crook said on talkSPORT: “He’s keen on the move. My understanding is that there were interests from two other Premier League clubs in the form of Burnley and Watford.

“But he only wants to go to one of the top clubs in the country. They are spending money, Arsenal.”

Could an Arsenal transfer happen?

Sky Sports reported last month that Arsenal have had two bids for Ramsdale turned down by the Blades.

The Gunners are reportedly planning to make a third offer for the Englishman.

And now, talkSPORT are claiming that Ramsdale is keen on a move to Arsenal.

This suggests that an Arsenal transfer could happen if the Gunners pay what the Blades want.

The Guardian claimed last month that United, who will play in the Championship this season after getting relegated from the Premier League, want £30 million including add-ons for Ramsdale.

If Ramdale joins Arsenal this summer, then he will likely to be second choice behind Bernd Leno.

However, the 23-year-old has the quality and potential to eventually become the first-choice goalkeeper at Arsenal, especially when you consider that he was so good against Liverpool in February 2021 that manager Jurgen Klopp described him as “incredible”, as quoted on YorkshireLive at the time.
