Serge Gnabry is being lined up for a potential move away from Bayern Munich, but Liverpool are not actively pursuing the deal, according to information received by Rousing The Kop.

Gnabry’s contract runs until 2026, which has prompted his representatives to begin exploring alternative options.

Liverpool are reportedly aware of the situation. They have been in touch with his camp and know he could become available soon. However, as it stands, there is no real push from the club to get a deal done.

The Reds have kept an eye on Gnabry over the years and respect what he brings to the pitch. But right now, he is not a priority target for next year.

Liverpool remain in touch regarding any updates around his situation. Still, it looks like nothing more than early talks at this point, reports Rousing The Kop.

Liverpool may be open to adding another winger next summer, but despite Gnabry’s situation, sources say there is no active pursuit from the club at this point.

Graeme Bailey told Rousing The Kop that any current interest is coming more from the German star’s camp than from within Anfield.

The transfer insider revealed: “Liverpool have been offered Serge Gnabry by intermediaries, making them aware of a possible free transfer opportunity.

“Likewise, Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham and Juventus are amongst the other clubs that have also been spoken to.

“Gnabry is out-of-contract at the end of the season and he is continuing talks with Bayern, but his camp and intermediaries are doing their jobs by contacting them.

“And that is the position. Liverpool have an historic interest and are aware of Gnabry, and that is where we are at, they have been kept informed, but they have not spoken to them at any length. From what I am told, Liverpool are not pushing massively at this point.”

Harvey Elliott not expected to return to Liverpool

Despite reports suggesting Liverpool could look to strengthen their attack in 2026, Rousing The Kop has reported that a move to bring Harvey Elliott back to Anfield does not appear to be on the cards at this time.

According to Bailey, the club are still expecting Aston Villa to fulfil the obligation-to-buy clause in Elliott’s deal.

“I’m told that if Elliott is not involved between now and January it means Villa are making sure they don’t kick in the obligation and Liverpool will then bring him back in January.

“But they [Liverpool] don’t think that will be the case. But, obviously, let’s see how the next six weeks pan out basically,” the journalist said.
