Speaking after Ajax’s win against Besiktas in the Champions League, Andre Onana has been speaking about his future amid links to Tottenham.

Onana has served his long-term ban after testing positive for a forbidden substance, and now that he’s back in action, he’s seemingly keen to start afresh elsewhere.

Indeed, Onana says that he’s done everything he can for Ajax and that the time has come for him to leave.

What’s Onana said?

Onana spoke about his future after the Besiktas match and Fabrizio Romano relayed his comments.

“When you open one door, you have to close it one day. Maybe for me the time has come to go. I have done my best for this club, I have done everything,” Onana said.

Spurs on alert

Antonio Conte reportedly wants Onana at Tottenham and he should be on alert after this update.

The Italian has been linked to plenty of goalkeepers, but perhaps the best of the bunch is Onana.

Yes, the Ajax man isn’t homegrown, which is apparently something Conte wants, but his talent is undeniable.

Unfortunately for Tottenham, he may face hefty competition from his former club Inter Milan who have been strongly linked with a move for the goalkeeper.

This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on in the coming months.
