Kylian Mbappe is the toast of world football following his demolition job at the Nou Camp

It took the English pundits a matter of minutes following Kylian Mbappe’s hat-trick against Barcelona to discuss the possibility of him arriving in England.
A stunning treble at the Nou Camp announced the 22-year-old as a plausible successor to Lionel Messi’s throne, and like the man who scored the home side’s solitary goal in a 4-1 defeat it appears his destiny is to be constantly linked with a move to the Premier League.
At this point Mbappe could have his pick of clubs throughout the world, and Spanish outlet Sport reported on February 15 at 8am that Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United are among his suitors.
The Frenchman was ruthless in dispatching Barca on Wednesday night, and former Liverpool man Michael Owen believes proving himself in England or Spain would dispel any lingering doubts about Mbappe’s elite status.

Speaking on BT Sport, Gary Lineker asked: “Does he need to go to Spain or England or Italy to do that with another club? They’re (PSG) so dominant.”
Owen responded: “It does help when you’ve won the World Cup and things like that.
“Your day-to-day stuff I think it’s got to be in one of the bigger nations, bigger countries.
“If he came to the Premier League or Spanish league and did it there I think no-one would ever question.
“I think he’s the standalone person.”

Peter Crouch added: “Having said that, he has done it in World Cups. He’s doing it in the Champions League now.
“And I think if he drags Paris, or Paris perhaps go on and win the tournament, then I think he’s in with a shout for Ballon d’Or this year.”
Mbappe has scored 111 goals in 153 matches for PSG since arriving from Monaco in 2017.
