Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has said that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have been a better team than them in the Premier League so far this season, as quoted in Football.London.

Guardiola has pointed out that Arsenal are currently above Manchester City in the league table.

The Gunners are at the top of the Premier League standings at the moment with 21 points from eight matches.

Defending league champions City are currently second with 20 points from eight games.

Guardiola said: “We cannot forget one thing, ladies and gentlemen.

“There is one team that has been better than us this season, this is the reality.

“The reality is that Arsenal have been better than us so far. We are not top of the league. It is important to be there and try to fight to arrive there.”

Title challengers?

In our view, it is too early to say that Arsenal could challenge Manchester City for the Premier League title this season.

City are arguably the strongest team in England, and in Erling Haaland, they have one of the most lethal strikers in the world.

Yes, Arsenal are doing extremely well at the moment and are at the top of the standings, but they do not have strength in depth that City do.

City also have better quality players.

Arsenal’s main objective this season has to be to finish in the Premier League top four.

We think that if the North London club end up in the UEFA Champions League places, then they should be happy with their season.
