Speaking on the Premier League’s YouTube channel, Conor Gallagher has named Tottenham Hotspur target Tariq Lamptey as the fastest player he’s ever come up against.
The Chelsea loanee was tasked with creating a so-called ‘ultimate teammate’ based on a number of attributes taken from different players, and when it came to pace, he had no doubt about who he was picking.
Gallagher and Lamptey came through the Chelsea academy together, and despite the fact Gallagher has played against the likes of Mo Salah and Adama Traore, he says he’s the quickest player he’s ever come up against.
What’s been said?
Gallagher was in awe of Lamptey’s pace.
“Tariq Lamptey, I’ve said this loads of times, but I grew up with him at Chelsea and he was always the quickest player I’ve played with or played against and the stats show it as well now, so definitely him,” Gallagher said.

Explosive
Gallagher is absolutely right about Lamptey, he’s so fast.
Tottenham apparently wanted Adama Traore through the door last month to play at wing-back due to how quick he is and how well he can carry the ball, but according to Gallagher, Lamptey is even quicker.
To be honest, Lamptey may end up being a much better signing than Traore, especially as he knows how to defend well, and with Spurs reportedly weighing up a summer move, this could be an exciting one to keep an eye on.
