Jamie O’Hara has hinted that he would like a team from the cash-rich Saudi Arabia Pro League to sign Tottenham Hotspur duo Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez.
With new manager Ange Postecoglou through the doors, the Treble-winning coach at Celtic has a big task on his hands to turn around the declining ship at Spurs.
In order for Tottenham to move forward, added with new signings, O’Hara spoke about how the ‘deadwood’ needs to be booted out, as he brought up Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez’s names on talkSPORT.
The duo struggled big time last season, including Sanchez getting booed by the Spurs fans, whilst Dier lost his starting spot towards the back end of the campaign.
During Antonio Conte’s reign, that very short and embarrassing spell under Cristian Stellini and under Ryan Mason, near-on every defender struggled.
But O’Hara thinks now it’s time for players to move on, as he mocked Tottenham by pointing out how the Saudi Pro League is buying players left, right and centre, but not their players.
“And he (Postecoglou) needs to get rid of the deadwood (and we can do well),” said O’Hara. “The problem we have is we haven’t got people from Saudi Arabia asking for Eric Dier or Davinson Sanchez.”

Dier and Sanchez fighting for their Tottenham futures
From the perspective of Spurs fans, they will want both players out of the door this summer.
But from Postecoglou’s perspective, he has to give everyone a chance and he is going to do just that with Dier and Sanchez, unless they ask to leave.
In truth, they don’t have much rope to pull and if they put one foot wrong, then the fans will be at their throats.
