According to Massimo Brambati – the agent of Franck Kessie – Tottenham are interested in signing his Ivorian client.
What’s the story?
Well, in quotes provided by Tutto Mercato Web, Brambati said: “I know that in addition to Inter there are two Premier League teams interested in him, including Tottenham.”
The 24-year-old has just enjoyed a fantastic season for AC Milan, so Tottenham’s interest comes as no surprise whatsoever.
Kessie scored 14 goals from midfield in 50 appearances, while also providing six assists.
At 24, he also has plenty of time on his side to get even better – he is arguably yet to reach his peak, in all honesty.
AC Milan paid £24.5 million to lure him to the San Siro, after some mesmeric displays for Atalanta.
In total, Kessie has made 184 appearances for the Italian giants, scoring 30 goals while recording 15 assists.
He would add real energy and bounce to Tottenham’s midfield.
Alongside Pierre-Emile Højbjerg and Tanguy Ndombele, Kessie would surely thrive in north London.
In our view, the presence of another Tottenham player, Serge Aurier, would also help him settle in.
Serge Aurier seems to rate him highly

Having won 44 caps for the Ivory Coast, Kessie knows Aurier well, a man who has earned 66 caps of his own for the The Elephants.
After Kessie registered three assists in one game in a 4-1 win over Namibia, Aurier took to Instagram to heap praise on the AC Milan maestro.
The Tottenham right-back wrote: ‘Three decisive passes, it’s not bad eh – the panther.’

Tottenham have no other Ivorian players in their squad.
In that respect, you would presume Aurier would be the man to help Kessie settle in, should he join.
Hopefully, this deal materialises, as the box-to-box midfielder is just what Spurs need.
Daniel Levy must get this one over the line.
