Things aren’t going well for Giovani Lo Celso at Tottenham, but he seems to have found his ‘happiness’ on international duty, as he was seen pictured with Paulo Dybala and Angel Correa.
The 25-year-old was left out of Tottenham’s matchday squad that lost to Chelsea on Sunday and there is talk of him possibly leaving this month.
Whilst those rumours fly about, the Spurs midfielder posted this message on Instagram: ‘The happiness of being here again’, alongside his fellow countryman.
Whatever has happened between Conte and Lo Celso, it seems as though it will result in him heading for the exit door.
There are suggestions that Tottenham will ‘more than likely’ sell the player they brought to the club when Mauricio Pochettino was in charge.
Joining from Real Betis on an initial loan deal, Lo Celso made his move to north London permanent six months later when Pochettino had already been sacked.
The issue facing the midfielder is that it hasn’t worked out for him under any manager, including the one that signed him up.
That’s Pochettino, Jose Mourinho, Ryan Mason, Nuno Espirito Santo and now Conte, who have failed to get a consistent run of performances out of the player.
So, from that aspect, if Spurs do move him on, then he’s not exactly going to be a loss because he’s not done anything of note that they are willing to fight for.
But, for now, the player has the chance to get some much-needed minutes under his belt for Argentina during their World Cup qualifiers.
