Anthony Joshua hailed Tottenham Hotspur’s Stadium as ‘unbelievable’, as he told Sky Sports.
The world heavyweight champion will take on the undefeated Oleksandr Usyk in a mouthwatering showdown for the IBF, WBA and WBO titles on September 25 at Tottenham’s home ground.
Joshua has had a stellar boxing career, starting from his Gold medal at the Olympics to beating Wladimir Klitschko at Wembley in one of the greatest nights in British boxing history.
And during that journey, he would have fought inside some iconic stadiums and in front of some rapturous crowds.
But the Watford-born star labelled Tottenham’s recently built stadium as ‘the greatest’.
“Unbelievable stadium,” said Joshua. “What an honour it is, especially to be defending/fighting for the heavyweight championship of the world.
“I don’t take these things lightly. It’s going to be rocking in here. They gave us a brief history on the way the stadium was built and stuff like that.
“The acoustics and the way they designed it, so when the fans are in here, it’s electrifying, so that type of atmosphere and energy, it cannot be denied. And that runs through my body.
He later added, as broadcast on Sky Sports News on Wednesday morning: “Guys, we are signing out. I have been to the greatest stadium that they have ever built. And we will be back to this place rocking on September 25th.”

Whilst everything looks rosy for Tottenham, in regards to the stadium and facilities they have built, it’s a shame for their supporters that it cannot be backed by the performances on the pitch.
In September, Joshua will be hoping to land the knockout blows on the quick, durable and precise, Usyk
But Spurs supporters will be hoping he isn’t the only Englishman doing damage on their turf because many would like to see Harry Kane also working his magic.
It has been well-documented that Kane wants to leave his boyhood club, but can Daniel Levy do enough during this summer transfer window to keep his talented star on board?
