Carlos Alcaraz made a big call when naming the five greatest football players of all time.
Alcaraz is already a six-time Grand Slam singles champion at just 22 years old, with the Spaniard being predicted to become a tennis great.
As well as being a tennis marvel, Alcaraz also enjoys other sports including football, Formula One and golf.
Alcaraz put his football knowledge to the test earlier this year, and was asked to name the five greatest football players in history.

Carlos Alcaraz named five players other than Lionel Messi as the greatest of all time
Alcaraz spoke to Overtime Tennis in a social media video earlier this year, where he was asked to name the top five greatest football players in history.
There is often a big debate in football history between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, but Alcaraz only named one of them.
“Cristiano Ronaldo,” began Alcaraz. “I mean– that’s difficult as well. Sergio Ramos, then Modric.
“I didn’t see him play too much, but what I hear and what I have seen in videos, Ronaldinho. And then I am going to go with Neymar.”
How Carlos Alcaraz responded to backlash for Lionel Messi snub
Alcaraz received some criticism for his picks, with many suggesting he was biased towards former Real Madrid players, which is the football club he supports.
However, Alcaraz was quick to make an amendment to his picks in the comments, and admitted that he may have made a mistake.
He wrote, “I can’t believe I said those five, forgetting Messi and some more. I could say other five different ones right now.”
Despite Alcaraz receiving some backlash for his picks, it does not appear that there is any bad blood between him and Messi.
Messi and Alcaraz have met twice publicly, and he even sent a signed shirt to the Spaniard ahead of the 2024 French Open final.
