Bernardo Silva has publically revealed he will stay at Manchester City this summer despite reports that PSG had made an offer for the Portuguese international in recent days.
Speaking to the press via Sports Illustrated, the 28-year-old playmaker said he had not received a single bid all summer and that he was happy to stay with City, with Silva this window linked with PSG as well as FC Barcelona, who were reportedly desperate to sign the former AS Monaco star.
City had reportedly placed an £84m price tag on Silva in an attempt to ward off any potential suitors, a plan that worked as the midfielder now looks set to remain in Manchester for the short-term future, with the Portuguese star also admitting after last night’s 6-0 win against Nottingham Forest that he is happy.
Silva said when asked if he would be moving on from City to Barcelona or PSG or staying with the reigning Premier League champions on deadline day: “I haven’t received any offers. I’m staying in Manchester, I’m happy and the decision has been made.”
Bernardo Silva staying in Manchester is huge for City

Silva’s future has been subject to questioning for the past two summer transfer windows now, yet just like last year, the midfielder remaining in Manchester is a huge coup for Pep Guardiola’s side, with the 28-year-old one of the club’s most important players and a key reason behind their success over the years.
With the Portuguese star already forming a great relationship with striking sensation Erling Haaland, Silva looks like he will once again be a crucial member of Guardiola’s squad this season, and the midfielder remaining at the Etihad Stadium in the prime of his career is a huge coup for the Manchester giants.
