Tottenham are said to be interested in pinching Arne Slot from Feyenoord as a replacement for Antonio Conte.
The 44-year-old has won many admirers in N17 as his side sit eight points clear at the top of the Eredivisie.
It was The Times who claimed back in March that Slot is on Tottenham’s radar, with the Independent now suggesting that Spurs are checking to see if the Dutchman is interested in replacing Conte.
As Daniel Levy does his homework on Slot, Spurs have now been told that he is a better manager than Erik ten Hag.
What’s the story?
Well – according to Oussama Idrissi – Slot is better than Ten Hag.
The 27-year-old has played under both of the Dutchmen.
Idrissi made 14 appearances under Ten Hag during a loan spell at Ajax from Sevilla back in the 2020/21 campaign.
The Morocco international has also made 72 appearances under Slot, having worked alongside him at AZ Alkmaar and now Feyenoord.

Idrissi – who has also worked under Julen Lopetegui – told Algemeen Dagblad: “Slot was the best. Whether he will reach the top of European football remains to be seen, but I would dare to recommend him to clubs.
“He can develop players and get teams to play fun football. AZ also finished joint first with Ajax in the season that was interrupted by corona. Last year Feyenoord was in the final of the Conference League, and this new Feyenoord is still fighting on three fronts in April.”
Tottenham could hire a gem in Arne Slot
Success in the Netherlands should always be taken with a pinch of salt – just look at Frank de Boer, who won four titles at Ajax before struggling significantly at Inter Milan and Crystal Palace.
It isn’t just managers – Vincent Janssen was also one of Dutch football’s best, earning a £17m move to Tottenham in 2016 after scoring 32 goals for AZ Alkmaar in the 2015/16 campaign, only to fail tremendously at Spurs.
Having said that, for every Janssen, there is a Luis Suarez, and for every De Boer, there is a Ten Hag.
If Idrissi truly believes Slot is better than the Manchester United boss – who has enjoyed a strong start to life in England – then Tottenham could soon be hiring a gem.
