Jan Age Fjortoft has raved about Eintracht Frankfurt’s sporting CEO Markus Krosche on Twitter amid speculation that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool want to hire him.

The Athletic have reported that Liverpool have their eyes on the 42-year-old German official.

The former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners are on the hunt for a new sporting director.

Julian Ward is leaving his role at Liverpool.

Ward will not be at the Merseyside club beyond the end of the season.

So, Liverpool are on the hunt for his replacement.

The Athletic have reported that Liverpool are considering Frankfurt sporting CEO Krosche.

The 42-year-old has been in his role at the German club since 2021 when he joined from another Bundesliga club RB Leipzig and has a contract with last season’s UEFA Europa League winners until 2025.

Jan Age Fjortoft is a Bundesliga expert who knows everything there is to know about German football.

The 56-year-old former Norway international centre-forward played for Middlesbrough and Sheffield United among other clubs in England.

Fjortoft also played for Frankfurt in Germany.

And he has given his verdict on Krosche, which Liverpool fans will surely love.
