Arsenal fans have been left concerned after Bukayo Saka wasn’t spotted in the training pictures from London Colney yesterday.
No sign of Saka
Arsenal are due to face off against Manchester United later this evening, but there are concerns that Saka won’t make it.
Mikel Arteta said at his press conference yesterday that Saka would need to be assessed in training to deem whether he would be fit to face United.
However, in photos snapped from Arsenal’s training ground there was no sign of the England International.
Now, that doesn’t necessarily confirm that Saka will be out tonight.
But it has sparked concerns among Arsenal supporters on social media that the attacker could miss out.
Saka injury update
The good news for Arsenal is that even if Saka is forced to sit out of this evening’s game then it shouldn’t be a long term problem.
Arteta seemed confident that his star academy graduate would be back fighting fit in no time.
If Saka does miss this evening’s game it will be a blow for the Gunners though, as he is so important to their attacking play.
Gabriel Martinelli looks the most likely replacing for Saka if he is ruled out, after his goalscoring display at the weekend.
But Arteta has also hinted that Eddie Nketiah and Nicolas Pepe could come into his thinking, if needs be.
