Rio Ferdinand has expressed his shock on his Youtube channel when told that Manchester City attacking midfielder Raheem Sterling has more Premier League goals this season than Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane despite taking fewer shots.
The former Manchester United defender made the comments while giving his take on why Manchester City and England international star Sterling is world class.
On the show, Ferdinand was told that Sterling has scored 10 Premier League goals from 44 shots this season.
The BT Sport pundit responded: “Wow! It’s a mad ratio, it’s a mad ratio.”
Then it was pointed out to the former England international centre-back that Kane has scored five goals from 71 shots.
Ferdinand reacted by saying: “See, that’s mad.”
The pundit then mocked Sterling’s detractors by saying: “He is not world class, though, he is not clinical.”

Both Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling are world class
In our opinion, both Kane and Sterling are world class players, and the Tottenham and Manchester City stars are now starting to get into form.
We know that Kane has not been at his best for Spurs this season, but there are some positive signs that the striker is getting his mojo back under Antonio Conte.
Sterling has been in and out of the City team, but he has still scored 10 goals in 15 Premier League starts this season.
Kane and Sterling are at the top of their game at the moment, and both have proved over the years in the Premier League that they are brilliant and world-class players.
Sterling has scored 106 goals in 311 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
Kane has scored 171 goals in 267 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
