Some Newcastle United fans are criticising Liverpool star Fabinho on Twitter for his challenge on Allan Saint-Maximin at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
Newcastle played out a 1-1 draw with Liverpool away from home at Anfield in the Premier League.
Liverpool took an early lead through Mohamed Salah, but a late goal from Arsenal-owned midfielder Joe Willock saw the Reds restore parity.
Newcastle actually had a goal ruled out by VAR just moments before Willock, who came on as a substitute, scored.
There was another controversial incident. In the 89th minute of the match, Fabinho made a challenge on Newcastle winger Saint-Maximin, as shown below in the clip from BT Sports.
It was a cynical challenge from the 27-year-old and was clearly made to stop the French winger from going on a run.
Fabinho, who can operate as a defensive midfielder or as a defender, was shown a yellow card by the referee, as the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Some Newcastle fans believe that the Brazil international should have been shown a red card for his challenge.
