Ramon Vega is still insistent that Harry Kane got a ‘lucky escape’ by leaving Tottenham Hotspur for Bayern Munich.
After eight Premier League games, Ange Postecoglou’s side are sitting at the top of the Premier League table.
Not many, not even the most ardent and die-hard Tottenham fans would have dreamt of this.
Many would have expected some sort of difficulty once Harry Kane left, especially given that the 30-year-old headed for the exit door days before the new Premier League season started – Andriy Shevchenko recently labelled the England captain as ‘amazing’.
But none of that has affected those at Hotspur way, with goals going in for fun, Ange Postecoglou picking up yet another Manager of the Month award and Spurs sitting top of the tree.
Despite that, former player Ramon Vega stood by his previous claims about Harry Kane leaving, as he posted on Twitter.

Harry Kane leaving Tottenham for Bayern
“What did you say about Harry Kane having a lucky escape? I want to hear that, please. Don’t think we’ve forgotten,” a Spurs fan asks Vega.
And he responds by saying: “Well, Yes I’m telling you again. he had a very lucky escape. Otherwise, he would have stayed if he wanted.”
It’s still early days…
This is all great for Spurs, as the fans finally have something to cheer about and look forward to.
It’s easy kicking a team when they are down amid the doom and gloom, as Spurs went through quite a lot of that last season.
But now they are riding a wave, they should enjoy it because you don’t know what is around the corner.
Equally, there will be some Spurs fans saying that the noise around them needs to be limited and the hype quietened because it’s still very early days in the season. They don’t hand out the awards in October.
