Andriy Shevchenko has labelled Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka and Tottenham’s all-time leading goalscorer, Harry Kane as ‘amazing’.
The duo are one of the first names on the teamsheet for Gareth Southgate’s England and if the Three Lions are to win Euro 2024, then they will have to play a key part.
AC Milan legend Shevchenko also added that Harry Kane, who left Tottenham for Bayern Munich this summer, is a ‘machine’, as he told Channel 4.
Both Bukayo Saka and Kane started England’s 1-1 draw against Ukraine in Poland on Saturday, with the two teams taking a point in their Euro 2024 qualifier.
From England’s perspective, it was a pretty disappointing performance, as pressure just mounts on Southgate heading into Germany next summer.
But when talking about the qualities of England, 2004 Ballon d’Or winner Shevchenko was sure to mention two former London rivals.

Kane and Saka for England
“Harry Kane and Saka, these are amazing players,” said Shevchenko.
On if it’s a good thing Kane is at Bayern: “I think definitely it’s good because he has to change his game a little.
“Bayern are going to play more front striker. Move a little bit more in the box. I saw him in a Spurs shirt. He was more like a team player. Drops a little bit back and helps the team. And helping the defence.
“At Bayern, he will probably play a lot more in front. But he has been a goalscoring machine for many, many years.”

Life after Tottenham for Kane
The new chapter of Kane’s career has begun, and so far, neither party is missing the other.
Tottenham are flying under Ange Postecoglou, whilst Kane has made a strong start under Tuchel in Munich as he aims to win trophies in his career.
The ultimate one is the Champions League because that’s the one Bayern crave as a club and they think they can now get over that line with Kane’s goalscoring prowess.
