According to The Athletic, Tottenham Hotspur could send young left-back Dennis Cirkin out on loan in the January transfer window.
It has been reported that the 18-year-old left-back could be loaned out to an EFL club this month.
The report has added that the teenager’s ‘attitude and application’ are highly regarded at Tottenham, but it is too early for him to play regularly for the first team.
Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho told Football.London in July 2020 that he likes Cirkin “very, very much” and that the teenager “works really hard”.
One for the future
Cirkin is only 18 years of age and is very inexperienced, and it is clear that the left-back is not ready for the first team.
Sergio Reguilon joined Spurs from Real Madrid in the summer of 2020, while Ben Davies remains an important player in Mourinho’s team.
A loan spell at a club in the Championship or at the top end of League One for the second half of the season would be beneficial to the left-back, who could return to Spurs for the 2021-22 campaign a better and more mature footballer.
