There is a ‘very’ good chance that Palmeiras wonderkid Endrick de Souza signs for Real Madrid despite interest from Premier League trio Liverpool, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, reporter Ramon Alvarez de Mon says on his YouTube channel.

Aurelien Tchouameni’s outstanding start to life at the La Liga champions serves only to season those gaping Liverpool wounds. The France international was Jurgen Klopp’s number one midfield target, after all.

Now, after sealing a £72 million move to Madrid, Tchouameni is establishing himself as a driving force behind another Los Blancos title charge while Liverpool’s own engine room splutters along, crying out for a change of oil.

There is a very real chance that Real Madrid could soon beat Liverpool to another of the game’s most exciting up-and-coming talents too.

“Madrid has been following Endrick for some time,” explains De Mon. “Since he was about 14-and-a-half years old. He renewed with Palmeiras with a release clause close to 60 million euros. An amount that did not scare Los Blancos.

“Real Madrid is aware of Endrick’s willingness to sign for them.”

In addition to Liverpool and Madrid, Jorge Nicola claims that Tottenham and Newcastle are also fans of Endrick; a lavishly talented teenager who has dominated the youth game in Brazil in a manner not seen since the rise of a baby-faced Neymar.

Endrick, labelled a ‘phenomenon’ by Brazil and Arsenal ace Gabriel Jesus, could become the latest Samba starlet to end up at Real Madrid, however, following in the footsteps of Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo Goes and the lesser-spotted Reinier Jesus.

“What Los Blancos could do is the same as they did with Vinicius and Rodrygo; buy Endrick’s economic rights, and let the boy stay in Brazil for two years,” adds De Mon, adding that Endrick cannot sign for Real until he turns 18.

“When is this going to happen? I don’t know. From what they tell me, I suspect that it is something that Real Madrid is already working on. And, therefore, (the deal) could occur at any time.

“At the Bernabeu, they have the perception that the player wants to come. And that what has to be paid to Palmeiras is not a problem. Until it’s signed, it can’t be taken for granted. But the chances are very high (that Endrick signs for Real Madrid).”
