Taylor Swift’s courtside chair from the Eastern Conference Finals has quickly become an unexpected piece of NBA pop-culture memorabilia, and the early auction price is already turning heads.
The chair was used during Game 3 between the Cleveland Cavaliers and New York Knicks, when Swift attended with Travis Kelce at Rocket Arena.
It is already one of the most replayed celebrity moments of the playoffs, and now the Cavaliers are turning that exact seat into a collectible.
Taylor Swift’s courtside chair turns playoff cameo into a collectible
The Realest is auctioning the chair with authenticated provenance after Swift occupied it during the Cavaliers’ 121-108 loss to the Knicks.
“As one of the most recognized and influential artists of her generation, the occupant of this chair has earned worldwide acclaim through a career defined by commercial success, critical recognition, and multiple Grammy Award victories,” the bidding description on the site reads. “Her attendance reflects the cultural reach of the NBA Playoffs and the significance of the Eastern Conference Finals as one of the most visible events in sports.”
Bidding has already reached $2,100 on Saturday afternoon, with 27 bids. That is startlingly low given how popular Swift is, but the price is bound to shoot up as the auction is scheduled to end on June 14 at 8 p.m. ET.

Swift and Kelce’s appearance produced several viral moments. They were shown on the scoreboard, Kelce chugged a beer to hype the Cavs crowd, and Swift laughed while covering her face.
The couple also shared a courtside kiss, while Kelce wore Cavaliers gear to support his hometown team. Swift has older Knicks ties, but the verified evidence points to past affinity rather than confirmed childhood fandom.
Taylor Swift’s auction says a lot about today’s NBA
This was not just a chair from a playoff game. It became valuable because Swift sat in it, Kelce performed for the crowd, and the Knicks’ run made every celebrity appearance feel like part of the story.
New York took a 3-0 series lead that night and eventually reached the Finals, but Cleveland found a way to extend the moment through memorabilia.
The NBA has always loved celebrity row. Swift’s chair proves the league can now sell the afterimage, too.
We see multiple star names attending Finals games, especially when the Knicks are involved, like Timothee Chalamet, Ben Stiller, Tina Fey, and more. However, we haven’t ever seen the seats they sat on get auctioned off, further highlighting how incredibly popular Swift is as a pop culture figure in today’s world.
