Japhet Tanganga has said that Harry Kane has impressed since returning to first-team training last week.
Speaking in an interview with the Telegraph, the Tottenham academy graduate praised Kane’s attitude at Hotspur Way. Tanganga also claimed that the striker will be ready to play if called upon this summer.
Kane has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City over the past few months. The striker is eager to leave north London for the Premier League champions.
However, club chairman Daniel Levy is digging in his heels to keep the striker at Spurs.
Kane is yet to play under new manager Nuno Espirito Santo. However, Tanganga believes that the England captain has been good in training, and that the attacker will be ready to start if Nuno needs his star player.
Tanganga said: “In training he’s been sharp, fit again, and ready to be called upon if needed. When he’s scoring the goals, he makes the team’s job a bit easier.”

Tanganga was key to last week’s Premier League win over City, with the defender’s performance all-but confirming his status as a first-team player for Spurs for this season.
The defender, who can play at both centre-back and right-back, had been linked with a loan move before the start of the season.
However, Tanganga is now expected to stay in north London under Nuno, who could play the defender often throughout the season.
