Speaking to Stadium Astro, Kevin Campbell has been discussing Bukayo Saka’s future after Arsenal’s loss to Everton on Monday.
The Gunners were defeated at Goodison Park, and they’ve slumped down to seventh in the league after this defeat.
The show’s host questioned whether or not Arsenal could keep Saka while they’re not competing for the top honours, but Campbell refuted that claim, pointing out that Saka has already won an FA Cup at Arsenal.
What’s been said about Saka?
Campbell had a bit of a disagreement with the show’s anchor about Saka.
“If he wants to enhance himself with trophies in a similar way to Harry Kane at Spurs, do you think they can keep hold of someone like Saka?” The host asked
“Don’t forget that Saka already has an FA Cup winners’ medal, so I want you to take some of that back, you’re putting too much heat on me. What I will say is that is the task of Mikel Arteta and this Arsenal squad and the board, they have to enhance this team because they are young and maybe they won’t get over the line this season in the biggest games, but they will be looking at players to come in who can take them to another level,” Campbell said.

Patience
To be fair, there is a point to be made about Saka wanting to win more trophies, but surely it’s way too soon to be discussing that.
Saka is 20 years old and he’s already won an FA Cup with Arsenal, and with the Gunners building an incredibly talented young team, why would he jump ship right now.
In three or four years, there’s every chance that he might, because, let’s face it, he’s good enough to play for any team, but right now, he’d be foolish to go looking for trophies while Arsenal are still building their project.
