Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea are about to make a new bid for Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo.
According to Rudy Galetti on Twitter, Chelsea will make a new bid for Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Moises Caicedo in the summer transfer window.
The Italian journalist has claimed that it will be a “take it or leave it” offer from Chelsea.
The former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners’ new bid will be close to what Brighton are looking for.
Galetti has added that the 21-year-old Ecuador international midfielder has already agreed personal terms with Chelsea, claiming that head coach Mauricio Pochettino personally wants him at Stamford Bridge.
The Sun reported last week that Chelsea have had offers of £60 million, £70 million and £80 million rejected for Caicedo, who, according to former Liverpool star John Barnes, is a “fantastic” player.
Brighton reportedly want £100 million in transfer fees for the 21-year-old defensive midfielder.
Exciting Moises Caicedo update for Chelsea fans
In our view, Chelsea’s new offer for Moises Caicedo being close to what Brighton and Hove Albion are looking for is very exciting and encouraging for the Stamford Bridge faithful.
It indicates that the Blues finally want to get this deal done and bring Caicedo to the club.

Brighton have made it clear over the past few weeks that they will not sell Caicedo for anything less than £100 million.
If Chelsea get close to what the Seagulls want, then perhaps they could be able to convince them.
That the player himself wants to join Chelsea and has agreed personal terms with the London club is also very encouraging for the Blues.
However, we believe that to be sure of a transfer Chelsea should just pay the £100 million transfer fee needed and get a deal done now.
After all, the new Premier League season is about to get underway.
Caicedo has made 45 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
The midfielder has scored two goals and given two assists in those games.
