Speaking on the Wrighty’s House Podcast, Ian Wright has urged Liverpool to sign reported Arsenal target Yves Bissouma.
The Brighton midfielder is a player that has reportedly been sounded out by the Reds in the past, while Arsenal have also been linked with a move for the Malian this summer.
Bissouma put in another stellar performance for Brighton this weekend against Watford, and Wright believes he’s a perfect fit for the Anfield outfit.
What’s been said?
Wright was waxing-lyrical about Bissouma.
“Yves Bissouma at Brighton for me, he’s sensational Ryan. You watch him this week and his numbers, he had eight ball recoveries, two take-ons, five out of six tackles, five interceptions. Watch his highlights, he’s an exceptional six, an exceptional eight and an exceptional 10. He does all of those roles,” Wright said.
“He is absolutely brilliant. I feel he is tailor-made for Liverpool. What they wanted from Naby Keita is exactly what Bissouma can do for them. If they can get him, it goes again for Liverpool.”

Perfect Wijnaldum replacement
Bissouma could be the Georginio Wijnaldum replacement Liverpool have been hoping for.
The Brighton ace is a player ready to step up to the very top level, and as Wright says, he’s exactly the type of player Liverpool need.
The Reds’ midfield is very well-balanced, but they need a player like Bissouma who can be a true box-to-box player.
Journalist, Neil Jones recently named Bissouma as the player he believes Liverpool are most likely to sign this summer, so this could very well be a situation to keep an eye on.
