Doughty has been linked with a move to Sunderland or Hull City.

Swindon Town winger Michael Doughty’s excellent start to the season in League Two has seen him linked with a number of Football League clubs, including Sunderland, but Robins manager Phil Brown has other ideas.
HITC Sport claimed last week that Sunderland and Hull City were interested in signing the 25-year-old wide man from the County Ground, despite only joining Swindon this summer from League One outfit Peterborough United.
His superb form has seen him score a hat-trick on the opening day of the season against Macclesfield, alerting Sunderland and Hull to his presence last week. It remains to be seen if a move will be made before deadline day.
However, Swindon manager Brown has told the Swindon Advertiser that there is no chance his star midfielder will be leaving the club before the 5pm deadline, but did say that interested clubs could move in January.
“He was bought to this football club to play the game first and foremost but also to help us get to where we want to be,” Brown said.
“I certainly wouldn’t entertain a loan. But if he continues doing what he’s doing, then whatever happens in the January transfer window could be beyond my control.
“If someone wants to buy him then we could be priced out of the market, but the interesting part is that he’s only been here for five games and people are already talking about him.”

A QPR academy product, Doughty endured a multitude of loans including Woking, Aldershot, St. Johnstone, Stevenage, Gillingham and Swindon, before eventually joining Peterborough last summer.
But he only managed two goals in 42 appearances for The Posh, and was allowed to leave on a free. Swindon snapped the Wales youth international up, and he has since scored five goals in as many League Two outings.
Sunderland are expected to be busy on the final day of the window, as Jack Ross looks to build a side capable of promotion.
